Scripture sharing
The weekly scripture sharing sessions at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in the parish rectory.
Sister's birthday
Sister Mary Florence, former teacher, principal and pastoral assistant in Summit Hill for many years, celebrated her birthday on July 27.

Bloodmobile planned
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will sponsor a visit by the Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Miller-Keystone is the sole provider of blood to the area's hospital.
A goal of 35 pints has been established. Persons planing on donating blood on that day can call the parish rectory to reserve their donor time. Walk-in donors will also be accepted.
Lansford
Fall baseball
The Lansford Baseball Association is accepting registrations for fall baseball. There will be two levels of participation. Youths 8-12 years of age who are interested in playing can contact Mike Turrano, (570) 645-9754. Little League graduates through age 15 who desire to play can contact Bob Pavlik Sr., (570) 645-2566.
Trip for servers
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will sponsor a free trip to the Scranton Yankees-Louisville Bats game on Saturday, Aug. 6, for all altar servers and their parents. Information about the trip will be mailed to the families.
Adult and teenage volunteer help is sought to help make the program a successful one.
OLOAA meeting
Our Lady of the Valley Academy, Lansford, will hold a financial meeting tonight at 6:30 in the parish center.
Coaldale
First Congregational Church
Morning Worship will be conducted at First Congregational Church, Coaldale, by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 31. Sunday School will follow at 10 a.m.
The nursing home ministry team will visit St. Luke's-Miners, Coaldale, at 11 a.m. and MapleShade, Nesquehoning, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3.
