Highland, Pharmacy lead at half way mark
Mauch Chunk Pharmacy won a pair of games to pull into a first place tie with Highland Beverage in the Jim Thorpe Summer Basketball League.
Highland -JTNB
Highland Beverage overpowered Jim Thorpe National Bank, 85-68.
The "brew crew" was led by Mark Zaengle's 26 points with Brad Hurley chipping in with 18. Mark Klotz and Frank Jacobs also gave solid efforts scoring 15 and 14 for Highland.
Dennis McGinley had 27 for JTNB.
Pharmacy-Getz's
Mauch Chunk Pharmacy outlasted Getz's 57-46.
T.J. Mckeon was top scorer for MCP with 16 with Steven Calcano adding 14.
Tony Stoeckel led Getz's with 10.
Dillies -Mollies
The Dillies handled Mollies, 79-64.
Don Reis continued his scoring ways with 21 for the Dillies with Terry McEmoyle and Tommy McGinley helping out with 16 and 15.
Mollies were led by Kysheem Lynch's 17 with Brad O'Donnell and J.T. Otto scoring 13 and 12.
Getz's-Highland
In a high scoring affair Getz's finished off Highland Beverage, 87-79. Steve Haldeman and Tony Stoeckel headed the Getz's charge with 20 and 19 respectively.
For Highland Sam Lux scored 21 with Mark Zaengle and Mark Klotz contributing 12 apiece.
Pharmacy-Dillies
Mauch Chunk Pharmacy edged the Dillies 77-74.
Ian Miller had a big game for the Pharmacy netting 28 points with T.J. Mckeon helping out with 24.
Chris McGlaughlin and Don Reis scored 25 and 22 each for the Dillies.
Mollies-JTNB
Jim Thorpe National Bank gave up a big first half lead losing to Mollies, 60-47. Matt Yaich turned in a 23 point effort for Mollies with Brad O'Donnell helping out with 11.
Dennis McGinley scored 15 for JTNB.
