Copper piping taken in break-in

Jim Thorpe police reported a large amount of copper piping has been stolen from a borough residence.

Police said on May 20 about 5:32 p.m. they wre dispatched to an area of Camp Applewood, along Lentz Trail, for a suspicious male carrying a garbage bag into the woods. Upon arrival officers were unable to locate the male.

Through an investigation it was learned that copper piping was removed from 516 Lentz Trail. Entry was gained by smashing a window, police said.
