Carbon crash
State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 12:15 a.m. on May 26 along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County.
Troopers said James A. Britton Jr., 31, of Mifflinburg, Union County, was eastbound operating a 2004 Volkswagen and entered a right curve. The vehicle left the road and struck guide rails on the left shoulder, then traveled back across both lanes and struck guide rails on the right side.
Britton was injured and taken to the Geisinger Wyoming Medical Center, Plains Township, Luzerne County, by Lake Harmony ambulance.
Troopers said he was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
