Palmerton approves coaching contracts

The Palmerton Area School Board at a special meeting on Tuesday approved the following extracurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2011-12 school year:

- On a 7-1 vote, with Director Tina Snyder opposed, Michael Falcone, assistant football coach, $3,863

- Bethany Rowland, cheerleading adviser, $2,334

- Jodi Smale, cheerleading adviser, $2,334

- Kathryn McKeon, junior high cheerleading adviser, $1,167

- Avery Weber, co-assistant football coach, $1,932

- Karl Pielmeier, volunteer swim coach

- Susan Pielmeier, volunteer swim coach
