Panther Valley freezes winter coaches' salaries

The Panther Valley School Board set the salaries for winter coaches, which reflect a freeze for the year. They include:

Girls basketball: Josh Wank, head coach, $2750; Roman Barran, $1825; William Lynn, Cindy Hassler, Adrienne Blasko, volunteers.

Boys basketball: Pat Crampsie, head coach, $3600; Keith Gogal, $2375; Mark Lazar, $1475; Shaun Midas, $1325; Andrew Michalik, $1225; Charley DePuy, Terry Bonner, Ken Miller, volunteers.

Wrestling: Tim Robb, head coach, $4800; Michael O'Donnell, $1750; Ed Kennedy, $1500; Ben Warren, $1400.

Cheerleading: Hallie Seiwell, head coach, $1625; Heidi Seiwell, $737.

Director Mickey Angst voted against the assistant coaches' salaries, saying that he felt that the board had "not taken a knife enough to athletics."

"I'm not against the coaches, I just think we should save more money," he stated.
