PV Knee Hi
The Panther Valley Knee Hi will host a meeting on June 14 at 8 p.m. at the Sports Zoo in Lansford.
Final registration is being held for all players and cheerleaders on Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at the PV High School. There is a fee.
Summit Hill
St. Paul Lutheran
The Rev. Richard Spengler will be the guest preacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, on Sunday, June 12.
A retired pastor from Macungie, he will lead the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
St. Paul's will hold a congregational council meeting on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. in the church.
To honor graduates
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will recognize graduates from the parish at the weekend Masses on Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19.
The students and their parents are also invited to be guests of the parish at the monthly breakfast to be held Sunday, June 19.
Graduates and/or their parents are asked to notify the parish of the graduate by submitting on an index card the members of your family who are graduating. The information should indicate the name, their relationship to you, your name, what grade and high school they are graduating from, where they might be going college, graduate school, workforce, etc.
Special recognition will be given to four senior servers/sacristans who will be graduating, including Katelyn Collevechio, Laura Cinicola, Rachel Krajcirik and Michael Heffelfinger.
Methodist Charge
The service schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, June 12, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Burgess Gordon will officiate at both services.
Lansford
Committee needs
The Lansford Improvement Committee is accepting unwanted household items, toys, electronics, and furniture for its upcoming rummage sale. The rummage items can be dropped off at the Lansford Ambulance Hall every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. through June 15.
The committee is a nonprofit organization that holds free events for the children of the community throughout the year and depends on the vital support of the community.
