Minor injured in Schuylkill crash
One of three drivers involved in a rear-end type crash that occurred about 6:17 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, along SR183 at the intersection with Columbia Ave., in Cressona, Schuylkill County, was injured.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kathryn E. Krell, 41, of Port Carbon, was driving a 2000 Jeep Wrangler southbound while Michael T. Barr, 48, of Pottsville, was stopped in a 1992 Ford Escort, for traffic ahead of him.
Krell failed to stop and the front of her vehicle struck the rear of Curran's. After impact the front of Curran's vehicle struck the rear of a 2006 Dodge Ram truck, operated by James J. Currean III, 46, of Orwigsburg, who was also stopped for traffic.
Barr sustained a minor injury and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville.
Troopers cited Krell for following too closely.
