Hurricanes still unbeaten

The Franklin Township Hurricanes remained unbeaten by posting a win over the Pocono Mountain Outlaws.

In other action, the Franklin Township Shockers split a pair of recent games.

FT Hurricanes-PM

Mike Hickey tossed a four-hitter to help the Franklin Township Hurricanes stay unbeaten in Keystone Senior Babe Ruth action.

Hickey walked two and struck out six and the Hurricanes gained an 8-3 win to improve to 4-0-1.

Heath Markley had two hits, one a double, and knocked in two runs for the winners, who rallied from an early 2-0 deficit.

For the Outlaws (4-2), losing pitcher James Iversen had two hits at the plate, one a home run.

FT Shockers-Hazleton

The Hazleton Mountaineers scored early and often in cruising to a 15-3 win over the Franklin Township Shockers.

Dan Yencha and Mike Genasevich each had two hits for the winners, who scored 11 runs over the first two innings.

Lower Nazareth

The Franklin Township Shockers needed extra innings against Lower Nazareth Township to pull out a 9-8 victory.

Jeff Horwith had two hits and an RBI for the Shockers, who earned the win in the eighth inning.

Anthony Rossino gained the pitching win for FT, which improved to 2-4.
