Theft of wheel and tire is probed

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a wheel and tire from a Schuylkill County location.

Troopers said a wheel belonging to a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck and the attached tire, a B. F. Goodrich LT 265/75 R16, was taken from the property at 576 Valley Rd., in Walker Township, near Tamaqua. The wheel and tire are the property of Christopher M. Houtz, of Tamaqua.

The wheel was laying against a garage. The wheel is a five lug cast aluminum stock Dodge and the tire is new. The theft occurred sometime between June 1 and 10.
