Two injured in motorcycle crash
Two Schuylkill County residents were injured in a motorcycle crash that occurred about 5:53 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, along E. Second Mountain Rd., at Deer Trail Drive, in North Manheim Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Jeffrey Cresswell, 31, of Pottsville, was operating a 2002 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 westbound when he lost control when he swerved to avoid an unknown oncoming vehicle that was in his lane of travel.
The bike slid and then collided with a power pole, with Cresswell, and his passenger, Robyn Davis, 37, also of Pottsville, thrown from the bike. Both were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment of what troopers said were minor injuries.
Troopers also said Cresswell submitted to a blood test with charges pending.
