Traffic stop leads to drug arrests
A traffic stop by members of the Pocono Mountain Regional police led to drug charges. The stop was made about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13, along SR196 at Green Road, in Coolbaugh Township.
Police stopped a vehicle for an expired inspection sticker. Police observed the occupants of the vehicle acting extremely nervous. A further investigation led to police conducting a search of the vehicle. Found was a large quantity of marijuana packaged for drug sale.
A passenger, Trevon Anderson, 28, of Long Pond, was found to have several smaller baggies of marijuana on his person. The other occupants were identified as Alex Vigo, 31, of Pocono Summit, and Keyvo Carillo, 36, of Long Pond.
All were placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy and drug related charges. The three were housed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
