Published June 21. 2011 05:00PM

Brian Whildin, 34, of 218 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, was charged by Officer Amie Barclay as a result of an incident which took place at 9:58 p.m. May 21 at that address. Whildin was charged with two counts of simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Homanko of Weatherly and committed to prison under $1,000 bail.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

Barclay received a call about a domestic disturbance at that address. She arrived on scene to see Whildin in the street, having an argument with his wife, Crystal Whildin. She told Barclay that Brian Whildin had come home from a wedding highly intoxicated. They began to fight after he came into the house. When he left the house to go to his vehicle, she locked him out. He then broke the front window with a broom that had been on the front porch.

When Crystal Whildin, who is six months pregnant, opened the door, he allegedly grabbed her by the arms and threw her to the floor. Three neighbors heard her yelling and came to her aid. The neighbors had to pull Brian Whildin from his wife and restrain him.
