Schuylkill resident facing charges

A Schuylkill County resident is facing charges for an incident in Monroe County. The arrest is one of several reported by state police at Fern Ridge.

Troopers said Aaron Murphy, 24, of Pottsville, was charged with criminal mischief following an incident that occurred on June 16 about 4:30 p.m. at the residence of Patrick Murphy, of 1629 Donald Road, in Sun Valley, Chestnuthill Township. Troopers alleged the accused punched a hole in a kitchen wall.

Troopers said Thomas Benjamin Schmidt Jr., 37, of Saylorsburg, was charged with harassment following an incident that occurred on Friday, June 17, about 6 a.m. at 4346 Evergreen Hollow Road, in Chestnuthill Township. The victim of the harassment was a 41-year-old female from Saylorsburg, troopers said.

Jason C. Velez, 30, of East Stroudsburg, was issued a citation for harassment following an incident at 141 Price Drive, Jackson Township, that ocurred on Sunday, June 19, about 12:06 p.m. He was cited after he allegedly threw a folded up shirt at and then pushed Diliah Rodriguez, 26.

Michael Ziemba, 57, of Albrightsville, was charged with harassment for an incident that occurred about 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, along Maple Lane in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Ziemba walked down the lane to a neighbors house and allegedly called for a 34-year-old male to come out in the street and fight with him.
