Organ donor awareness
This Friday is Kinsley's ShopRite's First Annual Organ Donor Awareness Day.
The activities will run from noon until 4 p.m.
Driver safety program
An eight-hour driver refresher course offered by AARP will be held July 16 and July 23 at the Chestnuthill Park Building. Both four-hour sessions must be attended in order to complete the class and receive a certificate of accomplishment.

Summer schedule
Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville has begun its summer worship schedule as of this past Sunday, June 19.
The Saturday worship service is at 5 p.m. and Sunday worship services are at 8 and at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School is in recess for the summer.
Rotary speaker
The West End Rotary Club will host Mimi Mikels as its featured speaker at the club's breakfast meeting on Thursday, June 23. She will speak about Monroe County Meals on Wheels.
The club meets at 7:30 a.m. at the Western Pocono Community Library in Brodheadsville.
Celebrating 40 years
The GFWC Western Pocono Women's Club is celebrating its 40th year. A special event will be held Sept. 24.

Special anniversary
Al and Phyllis Conklin of Effort celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are parents, grandparents and great-grandparents to a large family.
