Theft of flag and flag pole probed
State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a flag pole and flag from a Carbon County cemetery. It was one of four theft incidents reported by troopers.
The pole and American flag were stolen from the center of the Christ Lutheran Church cemetery located at 189 Church Road, in Penn Forest Township. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday, June 18, and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Charles L. Hauser Sr., 76, of 336 White St., Weissport, reported someone removed a 22-inch Vizio flat screen television from his sun porch. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on June 15 and 1:30 a.m. on June 16. The TV is valued at $250.
An incident at the White Water Rafting site along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, is being probed. Troopers said Jacqueline Marie Maldonado, 35, of Long Island, N.Y., reported her unlocked vehicle was entered and two Apple Iphones and a pair of diamond earrings were removed. The incident was reported at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 19.
James Edward Anglemyer, of 519 Meixsell Valley Rd., in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone took three air conditioners that were lying outside his home. The theft occurred sometime between 2 p.m. on June 15 and 10:30 a.m. on June 16.
