Driver cited after Schuylkill crash

The driver involved in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24, along Wildcat Road, in Walker Township, Schuylkill County, will be cited.

State police at Frackville said Christopher Miller, 20, of Tamaqua, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound and failed to negotiate a curve. Miller's car struck a ditch and an embankment along the opposite lane of travel and overturned.

Miller was not injured. Troopers said he will be cited for a motor vehicle code violation. Assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the New England Fire Company. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
