Dr. Kate L. Ciesienski and Dr. John A. Stanko
The engagement of Kate L. Ciesienski and John A. Stanko, both of Boston, Mass, has been announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Carol Ciesienski of Reading. She is a 2000 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She received a bachelor of science in chemistry from Millersville University in 2004 and a Ph.D in inorganic chemistry from Duke University in 2010.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of John and Louise Stanko of Lansford. He is a 1999 graduate of Panther Valley High School. He received a bachelor of science in chemistry from Moravian College in 2003 and a Ph.D in organic chemistry from Duke University in 2009.
Both Dr. Ciesienski and Dr. Stanko are research fellows through Harvard University Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital.
The wedding is set for Aug. 13, 2011.
