Assault incident being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating a simple assault incident.

Troopers said the incident occurred at 2315 Summer Mountain Drive, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said David Aaron Paolillo, 46, of Kunkletown, allegedly struck Elizabeth M. Yochum, 47, of Palmerton, with a closed fist causing injury.

The incident was reported at 9:11 p.m. on Feb. 25. Troopers said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
