Man wanted in Lehigh nabbed
An Allentown man was taken into custody by Tamaqua police early Tuesday morning after it was discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by sate police at the Fogelsville barracks.
Officers were on patrol at 12:58 a.m. on Mauch Chunk Street when they observed a male acting in a suspicious manner. Officers stopped to talk to the man, who identified himself as Matthew Mogan.
A records check indicated there was no such person born on the date provided. A second check, based on a Social Security number, indicated the male was actually Matthew William Warnken, last known address of 707 N. Eighth St., Allentown. Warnken was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued in Lehigh County.
He was taken in to custody and later transferred into the custody of Fogelsville troopers.
