Dog law violation

A Monroe County man has been cited for a dog law violation by state police at Fern Ridge.

Troopers said a German Shepard owned by Raymond Harris, of Sciota, ran from his property along Glen Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, and attacked a Maltese dog of Janet Gidlay. The incident occurred about 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9.

Gidlay's dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment of serious injuries.

Harris was charged with not having his dog properly confined as per state law.
