Theft incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on two theft incidents.

Benjamin Coombs, 23, of Palmerton, reported the catalytic converter on his 1999 Dodge Durango was stolen while it was parked at Heller's service station along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The theft occurred sometime between March 2-9. The converter is valued at $260.

Troopers said unknown persons removed two steel culvert grates from a roadside drainage ditch along Ridgeview Drive, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, sometime between March 9-11.
