DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers.

On Saturday, March 11, about 12:30 p.m. troopers stopped Daniel Burdick, 51, of Effort, along Burger Hollow Road, near Polk Township Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. Burdick was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. Charges will be filed, troopers said.

On Sunday, March 12, about 2:16 a.m. troopers stopped Floyd Lundy III, of Kresgeville, along Christman Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence, troopers said. The DUI charge is pending.
