Ryan's Oil, Cuz-n-Joe's. R.R. Frey all unbeaten

Ryan's Oil and Heating and Cuz-N-Joe's Place both notched victories Wednesday night in the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) winter basketball league. The win keeps both teams tied atop the standings with R.R. Frey Services with records of 4-0.

Matika's/Blazosky-Midas Touch Salon

Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home got a four-point play from Brad Yuricheck in the closing seconds of regulation and beat Midas Touch Hair Salon in overtime, 66-61 victory.

Peter Balogach scored a game-high 28 points for Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home. Brad Yuricheck added 12 points and Dan Matika tacked on 11.

For Midas Touch Hair Salon, Mike Conley led the way with 15 points. Ryan Blasko drained four three-pointers for 12 points.

Sokol Club-

Cuz-N-Joe's Place

Jon Veet put on an offensive clinic against Sokol Club as he led his team to an 84-55 victory.

Veet scored a league-high 37 points. Soko Mujovic also had a big night for Cuz-N-Joe's as scored 24 points.

Steve Haldeman and Brad Hurley paced Sokol Club with 12 points apiece.

Joe's Place-

Gear Graphic & Sign

In the second overtime game of the night, Joe's Placed beat Gear Graphic & Sign, 52-44.

Tom Kresge's 20-point effort led Joe's Place. Travis Fink knocked down 11.

For Gear Graphic & Sign, Travis Williams scored 18 points.

Ryan's Oil & Heating-University Legendz

In a shootout which featured a combined 21 three-pointers, Ryan's Oil and Heating posted a 78-70 victory over University Legendz in the highest scoring game of the season to date.

Ryan's Oil & Heating placed four players in double figures with Joe Schaeffer leading the way with 23. Jone Scheuer (19 points), Jeff Peel (14 points) and Jeff Krushinsky (13 points) also factored in the decision.

Ted Styka's 20 points topped University Legnez, while JR Graver and Matt Murphy added 17 and 13.
