Tamaqua man jailed on warrant

A Tamaqua man was incarcerated in the Schuylkill County prison Wednesday, March 16, after being picked up on an outstanding warrant.

Borough police, acting on a tip, went to the 300 block of Race Street at 7 p.m. and found Henry Winger, 29, of 410 E. Elm St. Winger was operating a motorcycle that had a non-valid New Jersey license plate. The motorcycle was impounded.

Winger was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant. He was video arraigned before duty District Judge Carol Pankake of Tremont. Bail was set at $20,000. Unable to post bond Winger was lodged in the county jail.
