Two men cited in Rush for theft

Rush Township police reported that Bruce L. Smith, 25 of Tamaqua, and Joseph Frantz, 23, of Hometown, were both cited for theft, receiving stolen property and trespass.

The duo allegedly removed hundreds of pounds of metal from railroad property in the area of the High Bridge. Police received a call about suspicious activity in the area on March 17. The investigation led officers to Smith and Frantz.
