Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:28 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, along SR940 at Crestwood Drive, in Mt. Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a vehicle operated by Scott E. Price, 21, of Cresco, was stopped for failure to stop for a posted stop sign at Knox Street.

Price was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
