Parent cited for incident at school

A parent was cited for being drunk at a Schuylkill County school.

State police at Frackville said John P. Dankulich, 55, of Brockton, arrived at the Tamaqua Area Middle School in Walker Township, on Monday, May 2, about 9 a.m. to pick up his son regarding a medical condition. School staff observed that Dankulich appeared to be under the influence and called troopers.

Troopers arrived on scene and following an investigation it was determined that Dankulich was under the influence of several controlled substances to the degree he was a danger to himself and others. He was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and released to the custody of his wife, troopers said. Charges will be filed.
