Participates in Celebration of Student Learning
Missy Zellner of Lehighton, a sophomore history and historical communications major, was selected to present as part of the first annual Celebration of Student Learning at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, The Celebration began on April 25, and concluded with the annual spring awards banquet on April 28.
The Celebration included poster presentations, art displays, poetry readings, oral research presentations, and musical recitals. Every academic department on campus has nominated students to share their accomplishments during that week. Zellner was a part of the History department presentations.
Zellner's presentation is titled "Art to Remember, Art to Survive: The Effects of Art upon Concentration Camp Prisoners, 1933-1945." She is a member of the Wig and Buckle Theater Co. at LVC and played in the marching band. She is the recipient of an Arnold Experiential Grant for her internship this summer with the Pennsylvania State Archives. A graduate of Lehighton Area High School, she is the daughter of Thomas and Shelly Zellner. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school for British history or museology and eventually earn a Ph.D. and work as a museum curator.
