Monroe woman facing theft count
A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 3, about 12:01 p.m. at the Shoprite store along SR209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.
State police at Fern Ridge said Bonita Svendsen, of Kunkletown, was allegedly observed removing merchandise valued at $33.48 from the store without paying for it.
She was detained by store security and turned over to troopers who issued her a citation.
