Gigliotti named PSAC East Pitcher of Year
Pleasant Valley graduate Jeremy Gigliotti was recently named the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) East Pitcher of the Year after completing an incredible regular season.
The East Stroudsburg University redshirt senior capped an outstanding year by throwing a no-hitter against Mansfield on Monday.
The Saylorsburg native leads all of Division II with an ERA of 0.45 and was also named one of five semifinalists from the Atlantic Region for the Tino Martinez Award, which goes to the Division II Player of the Year.
In 60 innings, the left-hander has allowed just 26 hits and 11 walks while striking out 73 batters. Opponents are hitting just .131 off him.
His record only stands at 6-3 as a lack of run support has hurt him. In his three losses, he allowed five runs (three earned) while his team scored a total of one run. He has seven complete games, three shutouts and a save.
ESU finished the regular season with a record of 25-16 and went 11-13 in the East to qualify for the PSAC tournament.
