Jim Thorpe Lions to open Asa Packer mansion for hospital event

Members of the Jim Thorpe Lions Club recently visited St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital to learn more about the Black Diamond Garden Party charity event that will be held at the Asa Packer and Harry Packer Mansions and Kemmerer Park in Jim Thorpe. Lions Club President Ron Sheehan, far right, and club members James and Sandra Gallagher, left, toured the hospital to learn more about how the event's proceeds will benefit improvements to the hospital's operating room and recovery room.
