Schuylkill crash
One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, in the area of 93 Ridge Road, in Eldred Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Terry Stehr, 59, of Klingerstown, and Kevin Haas, 51, of Pitman, were both eastbound. Haas was operating a 1996 Case IH spray rig farm tractor and traveling slowly with the four-way flashers activated.
Stehr approached in a 2008 Pontiac G6. She said sun glare on the windshield of her car prevented her from observing the tractor. The car hit the rear of the tractor. Damages were severe to the car and minor to the tractor.
Stehr was injured and taken to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, by ambulance while Haas was not injured. The road was closed for about three hours until the crash scene was cleared, troopers added.
