May 25, 1972 Mike Soley tosses a four-hitter to help Marian gain a 4-2 victory over Freeland and even its Anthracite League playoffs at one game apiece. Soley strikes out five and limits the Whippits to their lowest hit total of the season. The Colts, coached by Pat Morgans, receives RBI triples from Joe Balascik and Soley during a three-run sixth inning. Jack Bargilione adds a hit and run scored.
