2011 Carbon County Senior Games a success

The 23rd Carbon County Games have been another success because of the cooperation of many people.

Thank you to the following people: Students from Carbon County Career and Technical Institute, Concern Group students, Jim Thorpe senior high students, Lehighton senior high students, Weatherly high students, Tom Evans, director, Lehighton Recreation Center; Mike Andrews, Lehighton Public Works, Grant Hunsicker, president, Lehighton Council; and Brenda Koons, secretary; Marie Johns, TV 13; and Amy Miller, TIMES NEWS.

Also thanks for the people who purchased ads in our souvenir book that is given to all participants and helps subsidize some of the expenses of running the games, Jim Thorpe National Bank, Mauch Chunk Trust Company, Macaluso's at the Lantern, Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., Mike Davis, Mel Everett Furniture, Lengyel; s, Kovatch, Nesquehoning; Todd Sheckler.

Congratulations to the team from Lehighton for winning the 2011 Senior Games and all those who have participated in the games.
