May 31, 1951 Ben Fisher strikes out 22 batters and allows just two hits to lead Lehighton to a 9-0 Senior Legion win over Slatedale. Fisher, who doesn't allow a walk, strikes out the side in the first, third, eighth and ninth innings. Charlie Stroup collects three hits, one a double, scores twice and knocks in a pair to pace the offense. Lenny Dietz also finishes with three hits and two runs as the winners end the contest with 17 hits. Fisher, Lee Kuntz, Sittler and Glenn Warner each add two hits.
