Rear-end collision on I81 in Schuylkill

A New York man struck the rear of a trailer while both were traveling south on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, early Monday morning, Oct. 31.

Steve Hobi suffered minor injuries when his car hit the trailer, according to a report from state police at Frackville. The driver of the trailer, Jerry Breck of Weatherly, was not hurt.

The crash happened at 5:10 a.m. Citizens Fire Co., Mahanoy City, and Altamont Fire Co. of Frackville, assisted at the scene.
