Vehicle-deer collide

A vehicle and a deer collided in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Desiree Jackson, 41, of Kelayres, was drivng a 2008 Subaru Forester southbound on SR61 at Municipal Road, in West Brunswick Township, about 12:26 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, when a deer entered the road in front of her.

She was unable to avoid the animal and struck it. Jackson and her passenger, Annette Delong, 37, of Slatington, were not injured and were wearing seat belts.

Damages were heavy to the front end of the car, troopers said.
