Mike Malinoski and Paul Herb are this year's honorary captains for the Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association All-Star Game, Wednesday, Nov. 23, with the kickoff at 7 p.m., at Rotary Field, Schuylkill Haven.

Malinoski, a 1989 Shenandoah Valley graduate and three-year starter, will represent the North. Herb, a 1985 Williams Valley graduate and winner of 11 varsity letters, will represent the South.

A member of the 1989 Big 33 Team, Malinoski went on to become a three-year starter on the offensive line at Penn State and was a co-captain for the Nittany Lions in 1993. As a senior for the Blue Devils, he earned first team all-state, All-Anthracite offensive lineman of the year, all-county and all-area honors.

He set the school single-season record of 1,577 yards passing and the Schuylkill County career record of 4,530 and was honoured by Williams Valley in having his No. 15 jersey number retired.

Among Herb's football honors as a senior was being named all-state honorable mention as a defensive back, all-county first team defensive back and WQIN first-team defensive back and second-team quarterback and defensive back.
