Divorces granted

Caroline Isgate was granted a divorce from Glenn Isgate, both of Ringtown. They were married May 16, 1989.

Janet Berry Enos was grtanted a divorce from Michael Jonathan Enos, both of Auburn. They were married in May 1987.

School tax suits

Tamaqua Area School District filed to obtain judgments in court against three property owners in Tamaqua Borough charging they owe back real estate taxes to the school district.

A judgment was sought against Patricia Roseberry by the school district for $1,194 alleged owed in back taxes on property at 213 Greenwood St. Tamaqua Borough also filed a suit seeking a judgment against Roseberry for alleged failure to pay borough taxes of $710.80 on the same property.

The school district is seeking a judgment against Linda L. Hosler alleging she owes $777.73 in school taxes on property at 317 Washington St. and a suit was filed against Denise M. Price alleging she owes $1,261.16 in back school taxes on property at 733 E. Broad St.

Seek foreclosure

Deutsche Bank, Fort Worth, Tex., filed suit against Keith and Judy Quaca alleging they have defaulted on mortgage payments on property at 121 Retreat Road, New Ringgold, and owe a principal balance of $145,134.83 plus interest and costs and seek foreclosure on the property.

Revoke parole

The parole of Joseph D. Wetzel, 25, Philadelphia, was revoked by Judge John J. Domalakes and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his orginal sentence, his 391 days of liberty taken away and his new maximum date for release was extended to March 28, 2013.

He had pleaded guilty to burglary of Smokey Joe's Tabacco Shop in Ashland was after serving 49 days was placed on probation. The judge told Wetzel he cannot re-apply for parole until he serves at least six months in prison.

Testimony by his probation officer showed he violated the terms of probation by failing to report to his probation officer, failed to notify the district attorney's office of a change of address and also was arrested in Philadelphia on drug charges while on probation. He received a sentence of probation for three years imposed by the Philadelphia Court. He was qualified to participate in the prison's Vocational Rehabilitation Program.

Summary appeals

Ann Marie Gebhard, 54, of 145 E. High St., Coaldale, won her appeal from a summary conviction of a motor vehicle code violation because the arresting officer failed to appear in court for the hearing and the Commonwealth was unable to present a case.

Judge Charles M. Miller dismissed the charge. Gebhard was charged by Coaldale Patrolman Jeremy P. Talanca, with failing to have general lighting requirements on her vehicle, rear lights not functioning and was adjudged guilty by a district justice and fined $110.50.

Todd E. Shoener, 40, Minersville, lost his appeal from a summary conviction when Miller found him guilty of failing to obey a traffic control device when stopped last June 16 on Old Forge Road in Pine Grove Township. The fine of $122.50 imposed by a district justice stands.

Transactions of property sales were recorded in the office of Recorder of Deeds as follows:

Neal R. and Jeanette E. Amershek to Justin and Rebekah E. Koval, tract containing 1.924 acres located on north side of Route 1018 adjoining land of Allen Schock in Ryan Township.

William G. Schwab, as trustree for P. Thomas Feeser and Marilyn A. Feeser and Aldick Associates Inc., of Lehighton, to Brook N. Rittenbaugh, Pine Grove, an apartment complex on 6.492 acres in Pine Grove Township, $20,000.

Dolores R. Myers, 627 Wyoming St., Tuscarora, to David Biasi, Tuscarora, property at 627 Wyoming St., Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township, $1 (full consideration $30,000).

George B. Rinda Jr. to Nathaniel J. Rinda, tract containing two acres on north side of Legislative Route 53015 in Blythe Township, $1 (full consideration $125,000).

U.S. Bank National Association to Onesimus Tavoc, property at 403 N. Keim St., New Ringgold, $22,500.

Estate of Janet Green, by Patsuy Neff, executrix to Stephen H. Smolar, tract containing three acres on west side of Township Route 902 in West Penn Township, $150,000.
