Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 8, along SR901, east of SR209, in the county near Mar Lin.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Kyle Thomas Pulavage, 23, of Pottsville, was driving a 2002 Buick Century eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control.

The car began to slide sideways with the left rear bumper striking a pole on the south berm.

After impact the car traveled another 66 feet before coming to rest off the road.

Troopers said the DUI charge against Pulavage is pending test results.
