Two escape injury in Rush accident

Two people escaped injury in a two vehicle acident in Rush Township Wednesday morning.

Police report that Jeff Rhoads, 59, of Lansford, was traveling in the left north bound lane of Claremont Avenue at 10:30 a.m., operating a 2000 Volkswagon. Marilyn Rushing, 73, of Tamaqua, was also traveling northbound, but her 1998 Chevrolet Venture was in the right lane.

Rushing attempted to turn into a private lot, cutting in front of Rhoads.
