Andreas couple celebrating 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Ritschel of Andreas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 18.

They were married in Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown, by the Rev. Charles Zweizig.

Mrs. Ritschel is the former Carol J. Hartzell, daughter of the late Penroy and Edith (Shook) Hartzell of Allentown.

Mr. Ritschel is the son of the late Joseph and Helena (Beltz) Ritschel of Trexlertown.

The Ritschels have two children, Mark D. Ritschel and Denise K., wife of Brian M. Craig.

They also have six grandchildren: Marlaina J. and Mark S. Ritschel; Benjamin J., Zachary N., Caleb A. and Anna Sophia Craig.

The couple were surprised at a party, hosted by their children, and held at Zion Stone Church in Snyders. Numerous friends and family members were in attendance.
