Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two crashes on Monroe County roads.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, along SR115 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Ricardo West, 60, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry south when a deer entered the road. The vehicle struck the deer. West was not injured.

The second crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, along SR115 in Tunkhannock Township. Troopers said Willard M. Lobb Jr., 21, of Effort, was driving a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup truck northbound when the vehicle went onto the berm and down an embankment where it struck two trees.

Lobb sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention, troopers said.

He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
