Schuylkill crash

State police at Frackville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, along SR209 between Middleport and New Philadelphia, in Blythe Township.

Troopers said Codi K. McGuinness, 23, of Pottsville, and Lisa M. Smolskis, 44, of Pottsville, were both southbound. Troopers said McGuinness, driving a 2003 BMW sedan, came upon Smolskis, operating a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica, stopped for several deer crossing the road. The front of the BMW hit the rear of the Pacifica.

Smolskis complained of neck and back pain but said she would seek her own medical attention.

McGuinness and his passenger, Tyler R. Winterburn, 18, of Tamaqua, were not injured.

Damages were disabling to both vehicles, troopers said.
