Brooklyn man punched near sports bar

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating an assault/harassment incident that happened at 2 a.m. Nov. 24 in West Mahanoy Township.

Police said Joseph McTiernan, 26, of Frackville, has been cited for harassment as a result of the incident.

Police said the incident happened at Oak and line streets in the township when McTiernan punched Joshua R. hoffman, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y., in the face after the victim had left Jimmy O's Sports Bar. The victim also twisted his ankle during the altercation.
