Student's purse stolen in Tamaqua
State police at the Frackville barracks were summoned to the Tamaqua Area Middle School, Walker Township, on Nov. 21 at about 3:30 p.m. when someone stole a 15-year-old student's purse.
Police said the girl, a Tamaqua resident, went to her locker at the middle school between class periods and placed her purse on the floor. An unknown actor removed the purse when the girl was not looking and fled the scene.
The purse contained a Verizon LG cell phone and an Apple I-Pod.
