Car break-ins

Nesquehoning police has warned borough residents that there has been an outbreak of car property thefts.

Numerous cars left unlocked on Coal Street have been vandalized and items stolen. Purses, change, CDs and other objects have been taken.

Police said that residents need to lock their car doors when getting out of them. Two suspects have been caught.
