Carbon hit-and-run

An unknown motorist fled the scene after a hit- and-run incident in Carbon County Wednesday evening.

State Police at Lehighton said a vehicle, described as a gold Jeep, struck a pole along Hahns Dairy Road and Stony Ride Road in Lower Towamensing Township at about 10:14 p.m. The vehicle then fled the scene.
