Burglary at car dealership probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County dealership.

Troopers said the break-in occurred at Don's Auto Sales, located along the Port Carbon-Saint Clair Highway, in East Norwegian Township.

Troopers said unknown criminals ripped the wires off of two outside cameras in the front of the business and an outside motion sensor camera at the rear of the building. They then ripped down the copper wiring that runs along the rear of the building and attempted to steal copper wiring from inside the building via the coal chute which caused water damage to the inside of the building.

Damage was also done to the roof of the building in an apparent attempt to gain entry into the building. The incident occurred sometime 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, and 8:45 a.m. on Monday.
